Shine, shine, shine…

From what I've seen, this new-fangled Mario game seems to be outselling SOCOM, Onimusha 2, and the PS2 network adaptor put together. I got myself one of those Internet plugs for my Sony machine, though what I'm going to do with it other than play sports games, Sony's yet to show me. Four new reviews up, reintroducing Gamebits writer Robert Boyd and introducing newcomer Evan Wade. All four of today's reviews beef up the Xbox section, which someday will be as large as the console itself. Kudos to Namco for rushing copies of Dead to Rights to the press; few publishers are so astute as to recognize the importance of timely reviews.

Strangely enough, one envelope came to me from a publisher empty, save for the product info sheet. It seems someone helped themselves to a review copy of the game while it was in transit. In all my years of reviewing games, I've never seen this happen. I can imagine the beady-eyed evildoer, hunching his back and laughing wickedly at my misfortune… darn him.

Super Mario Sunshine, Turok Evolution, and Dead to Rights are all games on the menu, and the waiter tells me a three-course indulgence is likely, courtesy a helpful kitchen staff. It matters little that such gluttony will leave be unsuited for any physical activity save warming my couch, as this line of work calls for exactly such demands on my person. For you, and others, I will do this.
