Here is Larry's updated game review schedule.

I've fooled around with the Dreamcast MP3 player a bit more, and have determined another limitation: it will not play MP3's recorded at a sampling rate of 22.050 kHz. If I want to have any success with this product, I'll need to convert a vast number of MP3's to 44.100 kHz.

Pelican's Dreamcast MP3 player came in today's mail. It was mailed via UPS in a shoddily-packaged box, which turned out to be a FedEx box turned inside-out. I've never seen such a cheap and amateurish practice by a supposed professional outfit. Amazing…

The product itself at first impressed me by being able to read an HFS+ CD (I had predicted it would demand ISO 9660 format), but not as much as it disappointed me with its inability to recognize MP3 files that don't end in the extension ".mp3". Let's see what their tech support has to say about that.

ATV review is up. To the schedule posted below, Interplay's MDK2 for Dreamcast has been added, and I may bump Larry one week to review Pelican Accessories' Dreamcast MP3 player (which, despite being available on store shelves, is not listed on their web page).

I'm back from Ireland, having avoided Foot In Mouth Disease, and have updated the web page. Larry Tipton's reviews are up, and will continue to be posted for the next seven weeks. I also chopped some old news off this page, added a PlayStation 2 section, updated the links page, and corrected formatting errors on a few older reviews.

The next few reviews are as follows:

You can also expect Daytona USA in there somewhere. A review copy from Sega arrived yesterday, though it was just an unlabeled disc, not the finished product. Lame…

I leave today for Ireland. All email will be addressed when I return on Sunday, March 11th. As stated, Larry Tipton will be filling in for me. I'll get his game reviews up here once I'm back. Larry will continue to fill in for me for the next nine weeks as I address other, non-gaming issues in my life. He has some great stuff in store for us; I look forward to reading his reviews! Seeya.
